Wrong figures
Spotted a rate that looks wrong? Use the form and pick "Tax Data Error". Give the country, the value you think is off and a link to the official source, and it will be corrected within 48 hours.
Journalists
Cite any figure from the site, with a link back to the page it came from. If you need something cut a particular way, such as net pay across all 22 countries at one income, pick "Press / Media" in the form and describe what you are after.
How long replies take
A working day or two for most things. Corrections to a live tax figure usually get handled the same day.
Answers to the usual questions
Can I get advice on my own situation?
Not from here, and treat any site that offers to with suspicion. These calculators estimate take-home pay for ordinary employment. Once pensions, benefits in kind, self-employment or residency come into it, you want a qualified adviser in your own country.
Why does my payslip disagree with this?
Usually a pension contribution, a student loan repayment, a health insurance choice or a local tax the calculator cannot know about. The method page lists exactly what is counted and what is not. If none of it accounts for the gap, send the country and the salary and it will get looked at properly.
Will you add my country or job?
Quite possibly. Several of the countries on the site are here because somebody asked for them. Name the country or the profession, and a link to the relevant tax authority if you have one.
Any interest in link swaps or paid posts?
None. Genuine data journalism or research is another matter and always worth a conversation, but paid links and sponsored pieces dressed up as editorial do not go on this site.
